The textured design of these socks, which moves back and forth like ripples in moving water, breaks up the unpredictable color pools in hand-dyed yarn and creates an intriguing surface in solid or semi-solid yarn. The pattern relies on an interesting twist on slipped stitches: inserting the needle into previously worked rounds and drawing up loops of yarn creates a zig-zag surface.
