This charming Roly-Poly Bunny is a great project for experienced knitters who are new to making toys. The bunny can also be a lovely gift for any occasion, as the design can easily be customized for a specific holiday or recipient depending on the colors of yarns or ribbon used.

The head and body of the bunny are worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. The paws are worked seamlessly in the round, like an afterthought thumb or heel. The ears are worked flat in double knitting and then sewn to the head. The face is embroidered. The tail is a pom-pom.

The toy is knit at a tight gauge and should be stuffed firmly to help create its rotund shape. The increases and decreases are staggered throughout the pattern to minimize the appearance of obvious shaping lines

If desired, the ribbon may be replaced with a tiny knit scarf, a bow tie, a necklace, or any other decorative element to further personalize the toy.
