During Rory’s “Jess” year on Gilmore Girls, she was spotted around Stars Hollow in her lovely purple cabled hat. Now that hat can be spotted in your home as a cloth! The cloth is designed to be a flat hat, complete with a rib bottom and a shaped crown. Using garter stitch to keep the cloth from curling and to set off the simple cables, it is full of interest and texture. The pattern is written so that you can knit from the chart or the written instructions!
