An elegant cable & lace motif builds an eye-catching centre part in this large and cozy wrap. It beautifully grows in and out of the ribbed tips of the shawl and is framed by garter stitch wedges.

The construction is worked sideways from tip to tip as an elongated ellipse-like shape which makes it enjoyable to knit and easy to wear. The pattern is adjustable to the yardage you have available or if you prefer to make a smaller/larger shawl.

Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

This pattern has been created in collaboration with mYak and I had the great pleasure of working with their wonderful Tibetan Cloud for my sample.

Width at centre: 64 cm / 25.25”
Adjustable to your liking or the yardage you have available.

YARN
Designed for sport to dk weight yarn. The pattern is easily adjustable for other yarn weights and/or yardages.
Yarn used for sample: mYak Tibetan Cloud (sport to light dk weight, 100% Wool, 100 g = 300 m / 328 yds), 2.75 skeins used (275 g = 825 m / 902 yds) in colour Peony.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 18 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in garter stitch after light blocking.
Needles used for sample: 4.5 mm / US 7
