Roses are red, violets are blue – I love this easy crochet pattern, and so will you! Making three-dimensional roses is such a beautiful and rewarding craft endeavor! If you love floral crochet, then making these roses will be a lot of fun. These beautiful, textured, three-dimensional rose granny squares would look lovely as a blanket, pillow, scarf, tote bag, or just about anything else – so feel free to get creative!

PLEASE NOTE: The solid granny square pictured in the photo of the blanket is not included in this pattern. You can find the free pattern for the solid granny square on my website, Crafty Kitty Crochet.

The square uses the chain, single crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet stitches, as well as the slip stitch. The pattern uses less than one skein each of two colors of medium weight yarn (main color and contrast color) and calls for an H/8 5.00 crochet hook. For the afghan shown in the photo, you will need approx. 700 yards each of medium weight yarn in pink, white, and cream. A full/detailed list of abbreviations and supplies can be found in the pattern.

Gauge: 1 petal = about 1 inch length (at tallest point) and 1.5 inches width (measuring across all 6 triple crochet stitches)

Finished measurements for each square are about 5.25 inches square; the rose measures about 13 inches in circumference.
