A rose granny square pillow has been on my to make list for a while now! I finally crocheted one over winter break, and I am excited that the pattern is ready in time for Valentine’s Day because it incorporates a lot of shades of pink. However, this pillow can be for any time of year! The back side is a granny square, and the bottom is held together by five buttons, so it can easily be taken on and off the insert.

I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4 (100% cotton; 160 m (175 yds) / 50 g (1.75 oz) skeins): 2 petunia pink, 2 old rose, 2 pastel pink, 2 light blue, 1 deep jungle green, and 1 petrol green.

If you would like to use a different yarn and want your pillow to be the same size as mine, compare the yd/g to determine if it would be a good substitute. Otherwise, when you finish the front side, measure it, and it will fit a pillow insert that is 1-2 in (2.5 -5 cm) longer than it.

You will also need a 3.00 mm crochet hook, 18 by 18 inch (45 by 45 cm) square pillow insert, and 5 buttons (1.5 cm in diameter).

The written pattern includes some pictures to explain the steps. It also includes links to two YouTube videos where we crochet one of the rose granny squares together. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
