Rose Petals
Rose Petals is easier than it looks, and more satisfying than you’d expect.
Lace and texture grow side by side as you knit, creating a bias triangle in fingering weight yarn. The lace is simple. The texture is subtle. The result is striking without ever feeling complicated.
A confidence booster for lace beginners, and ideal for seasoned pros in the mood for a simple but engaging knit.
YARN
Two skeins of Julie Asselin Leizu Fingering Simple (90% merino, 10% silk; 434 m / 475 yds per 115 g). Shown in colour Rose Gold.
Or approximately 839 m / 917 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
