A beautiful Nordic Rose pattern in 4 colours, highlights this basic beanie/toque. Make the body of the hat deeper or shorter adding too or eliminating some the plain rounds in the pattern or ribbing.

Note - the smaller cap is the same depth as a the larger hat and will produce a more slouchy shaped hat.

2 styles of crown shaping. Cap can be knit with a simple decreasing crown or a more elaborate fair-isle crown, knitters’ choice.

This pattern also contains instructions for swatching in the round – a useful skill when working with any style of circular pattern and particularly useful for fair-isle as it allows for colour auditions – always a good idea as sometimes our first choice of colours may not work together as well as we might like.

Each hat was worked with 4 colours of the Loch Lomond, 30 grs main and approx 10 to 15 grs of each contrast
Brown version - 07, 13, 09 and 04
