Rosebud Trellis Cardigan
by Emma Vining
My Rosebud Trellis Cardigan design was inspired by art nouveau ironwork that I spotted in a doorway in Epernay, France.
The trellis pattern is made with twisted stitches and cables, with textured bobbles for the rosebuds. Combining different twists and cables makes the stems bend and move within the trellis.
The sleeves and sides of the cardigan are knitted in reverse stocking stitch. The button bands are worked as part of the fronts.
The lovely sunny yellow shade is Cascade Heritage (4ply) in Lemon, Shade 5644.
