Rosedale
Named after Rosedale Abbey, a ruined priory in the North Yorkshire Moors, these beautiful socks feature a stylised rose to each side of the leg.
SIZE
To fit 20½(23:25½)cm/8(9:10)“ mid-foot circumference. The finished socks measure 19(21½:24)cm/7½(8½:9½)” around at the mid-foot. Foot length is customisable, and the length from the top of the sock to the bottom of the heel is between 8¼–10¼“ determined by how long the foot is.
MATERIALS
100g of 4ply/fingering weight yarn with approximately 366 metres/400 yards per 100g (183 metres/200 yards per 50g).
The pictured sample was knitted withThe Fibre Company ‘Canopy Fingering’ in the Dragon Fruit shade.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
2.5mm/US 1½ needles for small diameter circular knitting.
TENSION/GAUGE
32 sts and 40 rounds per 10cm/4” in blocked stocking stitch/ stockinette. Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve the specified tension.
