Rosemaaling is a decorative folk hand painting technique that is practiced in Scandinavian countries, but also has similar characteristics to other folk painting techniques from around the world. Characterized by floral designs (especially Roses), this painting technique was an inspiration for this pattern. Twisted rib Cuffs and Hem feature a flower motif as well, giving a feminine touch to this design.
