From the book: “The small roses are worked all in one colour, but the larger ones are formed by using three toning shades.” … “Work each row of flowers in a different colour if you wish; an ideal way of using up all those oddments.”

Materials required include 350g (400g) Rowan Cabled Mercerised Cotton 4ply in MC cream, 150g (200g) Rowan Sea Breeze 4ply in mermaid for the leaves and stalks, then the remainder is 10 x 50g for both sizes in assorted qualities and colours for the flower heads.

Machine: any Brother standard gauge electronic or punchcard machine with ribbing attachment or equivalent. If ribbing attachment not available instructions are given for mock rib, or alternatively the ribbing may be worked by hand knitting.

Charts are given for the two punchcards required.
