Rotunda Cowl and Hat
This pattern is no longer available. We’d like to thank Nigel Pottle for his brilliant design using our (now discontinued) Epic and El Rio yarns. To see more of Nigel’s work, please visit his designer page here.
This cowl and hat pay homage to the columns, ribs and vaulted arches of architecture from the Romanesque period. The vertical, slip-stitch pillars and brick-like garter stitch striping recalls those beautiful buildings and the comfort they bring to those who visit them. The choice of an all- natural yarn (100% wool Epic Yarn or 100% alpaca El Rio) makes this combo warm and cozy.
Our design architect, Nigel, would also like to recognize Anna Strandberg’s influence. Her design, Luna, captured his attention when he noticed the column of slipped stitches worked into the sleeves.
This pattern includes instructions for both a hat and a cowl.
