Round the Bend Jacket WG43
Summary:
From Meg Swansen:
“The jacket is knitted in two halves- with a proper vent at center back- but is no-sew throughout. The sleeves are stocking stitch, the body is garter stitch. There is something going on every minute and it is a rather unique method of construction.”
Additional pattern information:
options given for varied color and yarn, as well as different sizes. Detailed charts and photos provided.
Additional needle and yarn information:
Suggested seven 4 oz skeins of Highland Wool plus a bit of another color for a few ridges for the 44” size.
16” and 24” circular needle in size to give you wanted gauge, approximately #6-9.
6 buttons (porcelain suggested)
double pointed needles for i-cord trim
From Meg Swansen’s pattern description:
“Advance warning: we did not name this design Round-The Bend for nothing… it nearly drove us there. With that disclaimer in mind please join us if you’re game; perhaps comforted by testimonials on file from many knitters who have completed this design with great success, and were intrigued by the challenge.“
