NOTES

  • Body of bag is made from three pieces: one solid-colored rectangle crocheted in rows and two squares crocheted in alternating-color rounds.

  • To change colors, work to last yarn over in old color, pick up new color, and complete stitch with new color. Do not fasten off old color; carry up wrong side (WS) of fabric.

  • Each square is folded in half to form the sides of bag. The rectangular center panel is sewn in between them to form the front and back. Rounds of front-post double crochet create a rolled top edge and handle.

  • Tote used almost all of main color. Consider purchasing an extra ball as insurance.
