Note: See Chart (p.67) and Swatch Instructions (p.66) for swatching. Lace is very stretchy, so measuring gauge is not an exact science. Keeping a close eye on the desired garment dimensions when blocking is therefore crucial.

The sample is in size 3 on a 5’ 4” / 163 cm tall model with 10½” / 27 cm on positive ease at bust.

Note
Rousseau consists of four panels: two for the front and two for the back. Each panel is worked from corner to corner, beginning at the outer edge of the hem and ending at the top of the V-neck/middle of the back neck. The sleeve, V-neck, shoulder and back neck shaping are incorporated into the respective panels. After blocking, edging is worked around each panel before they are crocheted together. Finally, a picot trim is added around the sleeve and V-neck edges.
To achieve the correct shape and dimensions, the panels must be blocked aggressively before edging and seaming. The fabric will stretch much less after edging and seaming.
The four panels are reversible until they are crocheted together.

Note
前後2枚ずつ, ４枚のパネルを繋げて作るプルオーバー. それぞれのパネルは脇側の裾角から編み始め, Vネック/後ろネックへ向かって編む.袖, Vネック, 肩, 後ろネックの形はそれぞれのパネルを編みながら作る. パネルをブロッキングした後, 縁編みを編みつけて４つのパネルを綴じる. 最後に袖口とVネックにピコットと編む.
縁編みをつけ, 綴じた後では伸縮性が低くなるので, 寸法を正しく出すためには, 縁編みや綴じる前に各パネルをブロッキングする必要がある. 縁編みを編むまでは４つのパネルは表裏の区別はない.
