In celebration of our 400th pattern, we will have a 15% discount on this KAL pattern until 12th of March! Live at 8pm Irish time 5th March with code EARLYROW.

Our Spring KAL cardigan is a dramatic, graphic stripe pattern that allows you to use short rows in garter stitch to create the pattern, while at the same time shaping the sweater.

Each new section of the pattern will be released as a clue on the schedule below. Each new clue also comes with new videos that will be delivered on Teachable. When you purchase here on Ravelry you’ll get an access code for the videos. You can also join our Knithub forum, where we have all our KAL chat. Access is free.

Note: The full pattern will not be available until the end of our KAL.

Clue Release Schedule: Clue 1: 8th April, 2026 Clue 2: 22nd April, 2026 Clue 3: 6th May, 2026 Final Prize: 24th May, 2026 Yarn kits available here. Live 8pm Irish time 5th March.

The sweater begins with the yoke worked from side to side using short rows for shaping. From here, stitches are picked up along the bottom, and the remainder of the cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. The short row colourwork motif is echoed along the front bands and sleeve cuffs.
Motifs are modified from Woolly Wormhead’s ‘Short Row Colourwork’ book.
