Ruffle Romper is a simple romper featuring a decorative ruffle on the yoke. It is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch using 1 strand of Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk. The romper can be knit with or without sleeves - a Merino version with sleeves for fall and winter, and a Cotton Merino or Pure Silk version without sleeves for spring and summer for example, would be lovely.
The first part of the yoke is worked back and forth to create the keyhole opening at back neck. Afterwards, the body is worked in stockinette stitch in the round down to the crotch where front and back crotch are worked separately back and forth. The optional sleeves are worked in the round from the top down. Stitches are picked up around the yoke for the ruffle and the ruffle subsequently worked in the round. Sleeve length can easily be adjusted.
