The sweater is worked top-down. First, a ruffled mock neck is worked in the round. Then, the back sts and a set of short rows are worked back and forth, later on, joined at the front and worked back and forth to the underarm, when the body is joint in the round and worked to the end.

The main stitch of the pattern is a simple slipped twisted ribbing stitch for a purposely classic, blousy look.
