Ruffled Ribbons Blanket & Mat
The pattern PDF is available on Etsy here.
This blanket was created as part of the Design Wars Challenge using Red Heart Heads Up yarn.
This easy pattern is full of texture, color options and sizing versatility. With bulky yarn, like Heads Up, it is super cozy to snuggle under, but also makes a terrific rug or mat for kitchen or bath.
The blanket back is worked in rows with the colorful ribbons joined using your hook. It’s a super quick and simple construction with a fun and textured result. The border is terrifically fun as it changes color along each side.
Worked in lighter weight yarns, it makes a lovely baby blanket or bedspread, too! Can’t you just see this in crib size for a nursery or twin in shades of pink or purple for a little girl’s room?
This detailed and thoroughly tested pattern includes:
--complete materials list including colors and quantities of the Heads Up yarn
--stitch abbreviations, special stitches and detailed notes sections
--complete, printable written pattern instructions
--recipe for changing the size/dimensions of the blanket for any size you wish
--additional picture section (no need to print) for help joining ribbons for the visual learner
This pattern is written in standard US terms.

1 skein of each colored ribbon
