With this crochet pattern, you can make your very own amigurumi koala bear. The pattern is easy to follow and covers the whole process from start to finish, including basic amigurumi techniques, illustrated with many step-by-step photos, making it a great project for beginner and experienced toy makers alike.

SIZE
28 cm (11”) from head to toe, when crocheted with DK weight yarn and a 2.50 mm hook.

3. Intermediate – includes some less common crochet techniques, color changes, and simple shaping.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Crocheting in spiral
- Chain, slip, single and triple crochet stitch
- Increasing and decreasing
YOU WILL NEED
- Yarn. I used DROPS Muskat, a DK weight cotton yarn, 100 m (109 yd) / 50 g (1.76 oz). You will need about 35 g of light gray (61 light taupe), 3 g of dark gray (24 taupe), 11 g of white (18 white), 9 g of dark blue (13 navy blue) and 2 g of red yarn (81 clay).
- 2.50 - 3.00 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 3/D).
- Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding/padding for stuffing.
- 9 mm (3/8”) safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
- Two 12 mm (1/2”) buttons.
- Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
