From page 94:

Natural dyeing can resemble alchemy: the dyer puts a bit of wood, foliage, or powder into the dyepot and hours (occasionally, days) later, yarn emerges in a color that may be entirely dissimilar to the tone of the natural substance used. Julia Farwell-Clay’s pullover has lace stitches that behave much the same way, with loops and directed stitches altered to reveal the dropped columns that flank lengthy floral motifs. This sweater can be knit to a larger size for a roomy, oversized look, or kept close fitting with negative ease for that classic, New England shape.

The sweater is shown in colorway Winter’s Night.

Finished sizes 33.5(37.5, 41.5, 45.5, 49.5, 53.5)“
requires 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins of Sincere Sheep Cormo Sport, or 1600 (2000, 2000, 2400, 2400, 2800) yds.

Author’s Note:
Our model, Sarah, is wearing the 34-36” size, but Julia also recommends knitting 2 sizes up from your natural size for an oversized, elegant fit.
