Gauge is given for stockinette, but much of the garment is worked in seed stitch.

Instructions specify yarn amounts of Tahki Donegal Homespun Tweed in an obsolete put-up of 4-ounce skeins without giving the yardage per skein. Be aware that the yardage values given above are approximate. The original instructions call for 5 (6,7,8) 4-ounce skeins of MC #834 Dark Gray/Brown and one skein (for all sizes) each of four contrasting colors, #840 Gold, #811 Purple, #843 Blue, and #804 Beige.
