Rustic Reset

Sometimes, you just need a knitterly palate-cleanser. A project that is simple enough to work on whenever you have a spare moment, but enjoyable to bring into existence. There’s nothing like a simple, textured shawl in a lovely, rustic yarn to give you that project-reset. Mix and match two colors in a DK-weight yarn to create a Rustic Reset of your very own.
Yarn
approximately 480 yards total DK-weight yarn. I used Snowqualmie Valley Yarn in Ice Blue (cA, 280 yds) and Coreopsis (cB, 200 yds), plus a bit of cotton or smooth yarn for Provisional Cast On.
Some of my testers used DK-weight yarn with a smaller yardage, and tweaked the pattern accordingly. If your cA yardage is smaller than the yardage called for, I suggest working fewer repeats of the Increase Section. This is a very forgiving pattern, stitch-count-wise, and as long as you have an even number before beginning your border, everything will be just fine.
Finished measurements
65” wingspan, 15” deep at center, after enthusiastic blocking.
