Saguaro Blossom Hat
A tam-shaped/slouch-type hat which is cast on at the ribbing for the band and worked upward with shaping increases for the crown integrated into the cable pattern, which is inspired by the shape of the saguaro cactus blossoms.
Yarn requirements: 175-185 yards of a worsted weight yarn with a tight twist to show off the cabled pattern.
Note that the cable pattern is presented in chart-form only.
This pattern is available as part of a print book or as a digital edition.
Inspiration: The saguaro cactus is native to Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. In the spring, the cactus plants produce large, creamy-white flowers that are primarily pollinated by bats who are attracted to the night-blooming blossoms and their sweet nectar.
