Inspired by Sonoran Desert flowers, the first pattern in this installment is the Arizona State flower: the Saguaro Blossom.

Some fun facts:
They have a very short lifespan: they usually start blooming at dusk and stay open until about mid morning, then they will start to wilt.
They get help from a very special desert dweller in pollinating: the lesser long-nosed bats. Due to their night blooming and stark white color they are a pollination match.
