A quick-to-make, beginner-friendly sailor hat worked in tr (US dc). In three sizes, for a wide range of head sizes.

PATTERN NOTES
Hat is worked in the round and joined with a slip stitch at end of each round. UK terms used throughout (US terms in bold in Abbreviations).
MATERIALS
Any aran or worsted weight cotton or cotton blend that works to the stated tension.
4mm hook
TENSION
16tr and 9 rows to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4 ins using 4mm hook or size to obtain tension.
