These socks are knitted in plain stockinette from the cuff down with an afterthought heel. Biscotte Self-Striping yarn is creating the roads on a green background without any color changes: simply drive one stitch at the time and you will knit along the route! The small houses are embroidered on the socks using the duplicate stitch technique. This pattern can be worked with a set of 5 double-pointed needles or on circular needles.
For double-pointed needles, please divide half the sts on needles 1 and 2 and the other half of the stitches on the needles 3 and 4.

Gauge: 32 sts = 10 cm (4 in) in stockinette stitch

You will need

• 1 skein of Biscotte Yarns | Bis-Sock Self-Striping color On the Road again and few contrasting yarn ends for the houses*** Circular or DPN needles of 2.5 mm #US –1.5 (or size needed to obtain gauge) 1 tapestry needle

Please note that you only need few inches of sock yarn per house and you can use any waste fingering weight yarn.
