This playful and cozy hood pattern is the perfect small project introduction to crochet steeking. The project is worked in the round, and then cut up the center to provide the opening for the face. This technique is easier than you think and the pattern comes with a full photo tutorial!

This is the same hood pattern for the Saint-Malo Pullover, if you’re interested in both patterns, it is suggested that you just buy the pullover pattern, which can easily be adapted for this project. However, this hood pattern does include 2 additional colorwork patterns - a series of circles, and triangles - in addition to the Saint-Malo Pullover rectangles pattern.
