Sakura es una boina que comenzó con la idea de tejer un mandala sobre una boina. Los “pétalos” que posee surgieron de manera espontánea a medida que la tejía.
Esta boina se teje desde arriba hacia abajo en redondo, comenzando por el centro del diseño de mandala. El diámetro se logra mediante aumentos y utilizando la fórmula “pi shawl”, luego los pétalos son formados por disminuciones y trenzas. Se termina con una pretina en punto elástico acorde al diseño.

• Merino Singles de La Nube de Colores (100% Merino superwash, grosor fingering, 380 m por madeja de 100 g) aprox 111, 130, 141, (152, 181, 194) m
• Palillos/agujas circulares de grosor 3 mm o el necesario para obtener la muestra, con cable de 40 cm o más.
• Palillos/agujas circulares de grosor 0.5 o 1 mm más pequeño que el necesario para obtener la muestra.
• Opcional: 5 palillos/agujas de doble punta.
• Palillo/aguja auxiliar del mismo grosor con que obtuviste la muestra.
• 8 marcadores de punto, 1 debe ser diferente para marcar el comienzo de vuelta.
• Tijeras.
• Aguja de lana.

Description
Sakura is a beret that began with the idea of making a mandala into a beret. The “petals” that it shows came about spontaneously as I was knitting.
This beret is worked top-down in the round, starting in the centre of the mandala design. The diametre is achieved through increases following the “pi shawl” formula, then the petals are shaped with decreases and cables. It is finished with a band of ribbing.

• 3 mm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge and a 40 cm (or longer) cable.
• Circular needles of 0.5 or 1 mm smaller than size needed to obtain gauge.
• Optional: DPNs.
• Cable needle of the same size used to get gauge.
• 8 stitch markers, 1 of which should be different to the others to mark the beginning of the round.
• Scissors.
• Tapestry needle.
