The yoke of the Saldes pullover is inspired by old cross stitch charts. This time, the inspirtion and the name have no relation. I have called it Saldes because that is where I finished it, on the banks of the Gresolet River, between its crystalline turquoise waters and its imposing stone cliffs. The landscape seemed so similar to the colors of the pullover that I couldn’t help but use its name.

The pullover is knitted top down, seamlessly in the round, and is designed to be worn with some positive ease. The colorwork is quite simple, since the geometric motif makes it intuitive even though each round is different.*

El canesú de este patrón se inspira en antiguos gráficos de punto de cruz. Por una vez el diseño y el nombre no tienen ninguna relación. Lo he llamado Saldes porque es allí dónde lo acabé, a orillas del río Gresolet, entre sus cristalinas aguas turquesas y sus imponentes riscos de piedra. El conjunto se me hacía tan parecido a los colores del jersey que no pude evitar usar su nombre.

Este jersey se teje sin costuras, en circular, de arriba hacia abajo, y está diseñado para vestirlo con bastante holgura. El colorwork es bastante sencillo, ya que el motivo geométrico lo hace my intuitivo a pesar de que cada vuelta es diferente.*
