This hat is knit from the bottom up by constructing a firm folded brim in garter stitch. The brim has only a small amount of elasticity. Gauge is therefore important to be sure that the brim is not too tight for the wearer. The fabric is snugly knit on US size 3 needles, creating a dense fabric that is comforting and warm. This is a one-skein pattern in a hand dyed yarn that contains nylon for durability. The design features the addition of buttons for adding individual style and personality.
