“THE DIAGONALS on the broken columns of my pattern are formed using twisted stitches.” explains Emma Vining. “Combining two and three stitch twists slightly raises each column from the background. The diagonal lines are broken up by offset seed stitch textured sections. The sides and drop sleeves of the garment are knitted in seed stitch, with the lower edges and neckband knitted in garter stitch.”
