Salkantay Sweater
This project is named for the Salkantay Peak in Arequipa, Peru, close to the home of Amano Yarns. The people of Amano find their inspiration in the natural resources of the Peruvian Andes. The Andes is not only the land of the alpacas, but it is where they create, develop and produce their yarns with decades of experience and great pride.
This sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down. Change colors using the stranded method. Beginning of rnd marker sits in center back. Puna’s 100% alpaca content makes for an amazingly soft, squishy, and drapey sweater!
