The fabric for this dramatic but simple rectangular poncho is created by working the piece flat and sewing one seam at the shoulder. The color patterns are created using short rows. The piece is blocked flat and embellished with I-cord and duplicate stitch.

I used 300 grams (900 yards) for the main color and about 100 yards of each of the seven contrast colors. This is fun and colorful way to use left over yarn!
