2 lace weight yarns, held together, were used in the rainbow version.
One was a brushed and the other is a smooth.
You could use a single strand of fingering weigh instead, like the purple / yellow version

875 yards / 837 meters EACH in 2 lace weight yarns or 1 strand of fingering weight

Salty Mermaid (pastels of blue, pink, orange, yellow and green)

Cape May Fiber Butterfly Lace (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Mulberry Silk, 875 yards / 100 Gram skein) in color..
Natural (cream)

The purple / yellow version uses 2 fingering weight colors, each needing approximately 410 yards.

Needle
- US Size 5 (3.75mm) in 24” / 61 cm length for working flat or a straight knitting needle
