There is an amazingly sweet satisfaction when you are on the same wavelength with a friend. While creating this shawl I wanted to evoke that feeling and go even further.
This shawl is designed for the support of a charitable purpose. Many people will be knitting for the sake of this purpose together. I hope that by helping people in Africa knitters will feel the connection to them, as well as to each other. How great it is to be on the same wavelength with people we do not even know, even with those who are on the other side of this planet.

The shawl is an asymmetrical flared triangle with the body worked sideways in one piece, and finished with a knit-on border. You can work the shawl from fingering or DK weight yarn, or customize the size of the shawl according to the instructions provided.

Sometimes, we all need a mental challenge to rekindle our passion. This shawl is like a crossword puzzle - even if it falls a little bit outside your comfort zone, with some careful knitting, you will have a beautiful, cosy shawl (in addition to a sense of accomplishment).

You won’t have to figure out anything yourself - everything is fully written out and charted, but you will have to pay attention to the instructions. We also have a Knit-A-Long in the Sight is Life group, so you run into difficulties, you always have easy access to help.

If you have ever been intimidated by a knitted-on border, here is your perfect appetizer-sized intro to the technique: you will only be working the border on one side of the triangle, so it will be over before you know it. Bonus: you will finish a large and cosy shawl with a lovely lace edge without having to cast on or bind off a large number of stitches!
