Sampled Stitches Pillow
Experiment with slip stitches and cables while creating a sampler pillow in vibrant or muted colors to match your home décor. This pillow is a great introduction to slip stitches, increasing, decreasing and cables.

Knitting flat in rows
Special stitch patterns: C3B, C3F, C4F, C6B, C6F (includes written instructions in pattern)
Decreases: k2tog, psso, s2kp (psso, s2kp included linked video tutorials)
Joining with a whipstitch seam (includes linked photo tutorial)

Fits a 14” (35.5 cm) square pillow form.
Materials
Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran yarn (100% superwash Merino wool, 3.5 oz/100 g/150 yd/137 m) – 1 skein each in 1966 Italian Plum (CA) and 1991 Emerald (CB), or approximately 150 yd (137 m) each in CA and CB in any medium weight wool yarn.
US Size 8/5 mm knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge. – Note: Circular needles are helpful for adding the borders.
Cable needle.
14” (35.5 cm) square pillow form.
Gauge
Each square = 6” (15 cm) in pattern before blocking.
