Sampler Scarf
This sampler scarf is a great way to introduce new knitters to basic stitches and progressively more advanced stitch patterns. Want a shorter scarf? Make each section shorter or pick and choose the designs you want to add.
Materials Needed:
-Size US #8 straight needles (or circular for more advanced knitters)
-Three 100g skeins of worsted weight yarn, or approx. 600 yds. Scarf is shown in Malabrigo Rios color Reflecting Pool. It is advised that you NOT use dark yarn, slippery yarn (such as alpaca) or yarn with a lot of variation, but any other worsted weight yarn will work.
Stitch markers. Circular closed preferred.
-A tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
-A hanging stitch marker to mark the front of the scarf.
-A cable needle
-Point protectors to keep your stitches on the needle
-Measuring tape to measure section
Finished Measurement: 9.5” wide by 93” long.
