San Juans Sweater
This unisex cardigan sweater features an allover slip-stitch pattern in 3 colors. It has a ribbed shawl collar, cuffs and hem. It has a boxy fit with modified dropped shoulders. The sweater is knit in pieces from the bottom up to the shoulders. The sleeves are knit separately and then sewn in. This casual sweater is meant to be worn with several inches of positive ease.
Yarn requirements:
Main Color (light gray): 9 (9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 13) skeins
Contrast colors A, B and C: 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) skeins of each color
Inspiration: The San Juan Mountains span the border between northeastern New Mexico and southeastern Colorado. Now filled with ghost towns and visited by off-road jeep tours and skiers, these high rugged peaks were home to numerous silver mines in the late 1800s.
