Sand Dollar Top is worked as a single piece starting with a circle of sand dollar and starfish motifs on the bottom half of the bodice. From there, stitches are picked up along the top of the circle and a simple striped pattern (Larksfoot) is worked in the round to the armholes. Stitches are then divided for the front and back sections, which are worked separately and then joined at the shoulders. The garment is a nice practice of Join as You Go (JAYGo) techniques - primarily flat joins. It is a loose-fitting top offering 4”-6” of positive ease that may be layered, if desired.
