This cowl pattern is inspired by the upcycled mittens Bernie Sanders wore at the inauguration, made by Jenn Ellis. I used yarns I had on hand; any worsted to aran weight yarn will do. Or use a different yarn weight to get a different size.

The yarns listed are three of the actual ones I used. The other was unlabeld yarn form my stash. I think Bernie would approve.

The pattern uses four colors of yarn and has three colorwork charts to make the design. It’s worked from the bottom up in the round.
