This pattern is written for DPNs and double stranded sock wt yarn (the larger yardage figure). If you are handy at socks at all, you will see how to start with my instructions and take off on your own journey. If you have problems, please let me know.

The major change I make so that the ankles fit better is to lengthen the heel flap. This technique should work for any published sock pattern that uses a heel flap and gusset construction.

I wrote this pattern over 10 yrs ago and now I’m making socks in a totally different manner. Watch for more NFSL patterns with different techniques.
