Intermediate to experienced: cables, no charts.
Two styles of blanket.
The cabled one is worked in panels, which are seamed together. Borders are picked up and knit.
The patterned blanket has a mix of bobbles, moss stitch and garter stitch. Borders are picked up and knit.
Materials
Cabled Blanket
3 x 100g Hanks of Noro Tennen shade 2 for A. and 3 x 100g Hanks of Noro Tennen shade 3 for B.
or
6 x 100g Hanks of Noro Tennen if worked in one shade only.
Patterned Blanket
6 x 100g Hanks of Noro Tennen shade 2.
Tension
18 sts and 26 rows to 10cm, 4 in, over reversed stocking stitch or pattern using 4.5mm (US7) knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension.
Cable panel of 56 sts measures 27cm, 10 3⁄4in across.
3 extra sts are allowed for each of the outer cables on the side panels.
