Sandpiper top is worked from the top down in two pieces (front and back) and seamed at the shoulders and sides. Front and back are worked from the bottom of the shoulder down, the top of the shoulder and neckline are added later from the foundation row up. Extra rows are added to the back neckline to create a higher back neck.

The sleeve sts are picked up using the border sts around the arm openings and worked in the round top down to the desired length. Decreases are evenly placed along each sleeve creating a gentle taper towards the cuff.

The sides are joined as you go, creating the side splits and an on-trend longer back.
