The Sandstone cardigan was inspired by a beautiful old barn that designer Lisa Richardson sees from her studio window. Built from Yorkshire sandstone, the barn has over the years been shaped by the environment, weathered and worn by the rain and taken on the colour of the smoke of coal fires. The Sandstone draws on these solid structures but is softened with the use of delicate fibres and stitches. An effortless shape that can be worn in different ways and through the seasons.

This light and airy cardigan is worked from the centre back/front out to the cuff. You then work back into the base chain and work out to the opposite cuff. The side and underarm seams are then worked before completing with the button bands and hem edgings. An optional back neck tie can be added. The cardigan can be worn with the buttons at the front or back.
