SKILLS NEEDED

• The skill level needed is intermediate (but ambitious beginners are always encouraged to try!).
• The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, invisible decrease,regular single crochet decrease, double crochet decrease, half double crochet, bobble, working in the back bar of the chain, and the adjustable (magic) ring (optional).

MATERIALS NEEDED
+ To complete the Santa Gnome you will need: yarn in your choice of colors (about 189 yds/173 m total of worsted/aran and about 38 yds/35 m of fur yarn), a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stuffing, pins, and scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
+ In the sitting position without the hat, the Santa Gnome measures approximately 4.5 inches/11.4 cm. Sitting with the hat measures approximately 7 inches/18 cm with a bent hat and 10 inches/25 cm with a straight hat (not including the legs).
