Santa Lucia Snowflake Gloves
In February of this year, we experienced a rare snowfall along the Central Coast of California. The peaks of the Santa Lucia Mountains held on to the snow for a few hours, and we were all very excited. These Santa Lucia Snowflake Gloves are named in honor of this event.
Gloves are a fun project and not as difficult as they may look. I could almost rate this pattern as easy, but it does require working in the round.
The colorwork for these gloves features two rows of stranding and duplicate stitch for the snowflake pattern. I used duplicate stitch for the snowflake pattern because I wanted a thinner fabric on the palms.
The measurements given for finger lengths are typical for gloves, but if you can try the gloves on as you go, you can create a custom fit. The pattern indicates where each measurement can be adjusted.
