Santa Saurus is a baby and toddler Christmas jumper knitting pattern for ages newborn to 4-5 years, featuring an intarsia dinosaur on the front with a knitted arm, five knitted spikes along the back, and a removable Santa hat with a knitted i-cord tip and bobble. The sleeves are mismatched, one worked in plain Petrol and one in a Petrol, Wine, and Platinum stripe sequence. The pattern also includes a chart for an optional duplicate stitch ROARSOME logo, for those who want to commit fully to the theme.

The Santa hat can be attached using press studs so it removes cleanly after Christmas, extending the life of the jumper well into the new year. Drop shoulder construction, seamed, and worked in stocking stitch throughout. The intarsia section uses one contrast colour and the spikes, arm, and hat are all worked separately and sewn on. A great first intarsia project.

NEEDLES: Straight 3.25mm and 4mm. Circulars 3.25mm (for neckband, can be done on straights). 3.25mm DPNs (for Santa hat i-cord tip).

ALSO NEEDED: Darning needle, stitch markers, stitch holder, 6 grey buttons, 1 light grey button and 1 smaller black button (stacked to form the eye).

GAUGE: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch on 4mm needles.
