SANTORINI is worked flat from the top down. The
shoulders are seamed for added structure, and then the cowl neck is worked by picking up stitches and working in the round.
The cowl neck is folded to create a very simple yet fun Picot edging.
The sides are also seamed, before adding
the sleeves.
The sleeve stitches are picked up and
worked in the round.
The back is longer than the front by 5” /
12.5 cm (optional.)
Sleeves are completely optional, as is the joining of the sides. Choose the size that gives the best style and fit for you.
Go extra big for the Poncho style, 2 inches larger for the sweater style fit, or even zero to 2 inches of negative ease for the tight vest look. The choice is well and
truly yours!
The same with the length, to add a fringe or not. Leave the sides un-joined, or join partially for the vest style look
Make this design your own, and please do share your finished makes with me. It is so true that I do a little happy dance each and every time I see one of my designs
come off another maker’s needles
